Beukweek / Summer camp

Gisteren kwam Joram thuis met het inschrijfformulier voor de Beukweek! Joram is vorig jaar voor het eerst meegeweest. Het is een week vol lol voor kinderen van groep 2 tot en met 8. Dit jaar is de Beukweek van 11 tot en met 15 augustus, de laatste week van de vakantie. Joram vond het supereng vorig jaar maar heeft het uiteindelijk geweldig gehad. Het grootste deel van de kinderen zit bij hem op school en wonen ook in Tongelre. Op 27 juni is de inschrijving. Op zich al een heel festijn: Je staat uren in de rij om je kind in te schrijven. Maar ook daar geldt weer: Je kent heel veel mensen en over het algemeen is het weer ook goed (Laten we dat dan maar hopen) Dit jaar is het Thema: Het Wilde Westen. Op het inschrijfformulier en de poster kan je lezen: " We gaan terug in de tijd en zetten koers richting het Wilde Westen. Stoere cowboys, schreeuwende indianen, rokende revolvers, rondsuizende pijlen en veel meer.............

Yesterday Joram brought the registration form for Summercamp (De Beukweek) home. Last year he went for the first time. A week full of fun for children between the ages 6 to 12. This year the camp is from the 11th until the 15th of August, the last week of the summer vacation. Last year Joram thought is was super scary but he had the time of his life. Most of the children he knows from school and also live here in Tongelre. The registration is on June the 27th. That already is a fesivity: Standing in line for hours to get a spot for your child. But the same thing there: You know a lot of people there and most of the time the weather is good (Let's hope the same for this year) This years theme is: The Wild West. This is what is says on the registration form and the poster: We travel back in time and head to The Wild West. There's tough cowboys, screaming indians, smoking revolvers, arrows flying around and lots more.................
